Have you [Prophet] considered the man who turned away, 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward- 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 while you make merry? 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Stars (Al-Najm). Sent down in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)
