The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 who in their prayers are humble 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 And they who are observant of zakah 4 those who safeguard their chastity 5 except with their wives and what their right hand possess, and then they are not blamed. 6 But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- 7 and who are faithful to their trusts and to their pledges, 8 And who guard their prayers. 9 These are indeed the inheritors. 10 These are the heirs of Paradise wherein they will live forever. 11 Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay); 12 then We made him into a drop of life-germ, then We placed it in a safe depository, 13 We then turned the drop of fluid into a clot of blood, then the clot into a small lump of flesh, then the lump into bones, then covered the bones with flesh; then developed it in a different mould; therefore Most Auspicious is Allah, the Best Creator. 14 Then indeed, after that you are to die. 15 Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. 16 And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware. 17 We sent down water from the sky in right measure, and caused it to stay in the earth, and We have the power to cause it to vanish (in the manner We please). 18 We have produced palm-groves and vineyards for you, in which there are abundant fruits for you; and you eat these, 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 And most surely there is a lesson for you in the cattle: We make you to drink of what is in their bellies, and you have in them many advantages and of them you eat, 21 And on them and on the ship ye are borne. 22
