Mention in the Book Abraham; He was truthful and a Prophet. 41 Recall what time he said unto his father: O my father! wherefore worshippest thou that which heareth not and seeth not, nor availeth thee at all? 42 Father, knowledge has come to me which has not come you, therefore, follow me. I will guide you to a Level Path. 43 Father, do not worship satan; he has disobeyed the Beneficent God. 44 Father, I fear that the punishment of the Merciful will fall upon you and you will become a guide of satan' 45 [His father] said, "Have you no desire for my gods, O Abraham? If you do not desist, I will surely stone you, so avoid me a prolonged time." 46 He said, “Stop it – peace be upon you; I shall seek forgiveness for you from my Lord; indeed He is very kind to me.” 47 And I will leave you and those you invoke other than Allah and will invoke my Lord. I expect that I will not be in invocation to my Lord unhappy." 48 So, when he went apart from them and that they were serving, apart from God, We gave him Isaac and Jacob, and each We made a Prophet; 49 and We gave them of Our mercy, and We appointed unto them a tongue of truthfulness, sublime. 50
