Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Surely We are able to reform even his finger-tips. 4 But man desires to continue in sin. 5 He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 So, when the sight shall be dazed, 7 and the moon eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 on that Day will man exclaim "Whither to flee?" 10 Never! There is no refuge! 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back. 13 nay, man shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 even though they make excuses. 15 MOVE NOT thy tongue in haste, [repeating the words of the revelation:] 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 Nay; the truth is that you love ardently (the good of this world) that can be obtained hastily, 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 Some faces will be radiant on that Day, 22 Looking to their Lord. 23 And some faces, that Day, will be Basirah (dark, gloomy, frowning, and sad), 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 By no means! When it cometh up to the collar-bone. 26 and the angels say, "Who will take away his soul, 27 And he bethinketh that it is the time of parting. 28 and when leg is intertwined with leg, 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30
