The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 And who destined and [then] guided 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 The one who will enter the biggest fire. 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
