Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 As justification or warning, 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 the living and the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
