Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Alif, Lam, Meem. 1 The revelation of the Book, there is no doubt in it, is from the Lord of the worlds. 2 Do they say that he, (Muhammad), has invented it? No, it is the truth from your Lord so that you will warn the people who have not received a warning before you. Perhaps they will seek guidance. 3 Allah is He Who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six periods, and He mounted the throne (of authority); you have not besides Him any guardian or any intercessor, will you not then mind? 4 He governs from the heaven to the earth and then the record (of this governance) goes up to Him in a day whose measure is a thousand years in your reckoning. 5 That is He, the All-Knower of the unseen and the seen, the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 6 who gave everything its perfect form. He originated the creation of man from clay, 7 Then He made his progeny from an extract of water base. 8 Then He created him and (caused the angel to) breathe into him his (created) spirit. He gave you eyes and ears, and hearts, yet little do you thank. 9 And they say: when we are vanished in the earth, shall we then be raised in a new creation? Aye! in the meeting with their Lord they are disbelieving. 10 ۞ Say thou: the angel of death who is set over you shall cause you to die, thereafter unto your Lord ye shall be returned. 11
