And certainly We created man, and We know what his mind suggests to him, and We are nearer to him than his life-vein. 16 (Remember!) that the two receivers (recording angels) receive (each human being after he or she has attained the age of puberty), one sitting on the right and one on the left (to note his or her actions). 17 Not a word does he (or she) utter, but there is a watcher by him ready (to record it). 18 The palsy of death will surely come. This is what you wished to avert. 19 and [in the end] the trumpet [of resurrection] will be blown: that will be the Day of a warning fulfilled. 20 And every soul shall come, with it a driver and a witness. 21 Assuredly thou wast in neglect thereof; now We have removed from off thee thy veil, so thy sight Today is piercing. 22 And his Companion will say: "Here is (his Record) ready with me!" 23 The command was given: “Cast into Hell every hardened, stubborn unbeliever, 24 hinderer of good, transgressor, causing others to doubt, 25 "Who set up another ilah (god) with Allah, then (both of you) cast him in the severe torment." 26 ۞ His comrade saith: Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he was (himself) far gone in error. 27 He saith: Contend not in My presence, when I had already proffered unto you the warning. 28 No word is to be exchanged in My presence. I am not unjust to My servants". 29
