Al-Baqarah 5 of 40
O children of Israel! Just recall to mind My favour wherewith I blessed you fulfil your covenant with Me and I shall fulfil My covenant with you, and fear Me alone. 40 And believe in what I have sent down (this Quran), confirming that which is with you, [the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)], and be not the first to disbelieve therein, and buy not with My Verses [the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] a small price (i.e. getting a small gain by selling My Verses), and fear Me and Me Alone. (Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. I, Page 253). 41 Do not confound truth with falsehood, nor knowingly hide the truth while you know. 42 Be firm in devotion; give zakat (the due share of your wealth for the welfare of others), and bow with those who bow (before God). 43 ۞ What! do you enjoin men to be good and neglect your own souls while you read the Book; have you then no sense? 44 Find strength in fortitude and prayer, which is heavy and exacting but for those who are humble and meek, 45 who realize that ultimately they shall meet their Lord and shall return to Him. 46
