The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 When they sat by it 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection). 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22
