BEHOLD, We have bestowed upon thee from on high this divine writ, setting forth the truth, so that thou may judge between people in accordance with what God has taught thee. Hence, do not contend with those who are false to their trust, 105 Ask God for forgiveness: He is most forgiving and merciful. 106 And do not plead on behalf of those who deceive themselves; indeed Allah does not like any treacherous, excessive sinner. 107 They hide from men and do not hide from Allah, whereas Allah is with them when they plan in their hearts that which displeases Him; and Allah has their deeds encompassed. 108 Behold! you are they who (may) plead for them in this world's life, but who will plead for them with Allah on the resurrection day, or who shall be their protector? 109 And whoever does evil or acts unjustly to his soul, then asks forgiveness of Allah, he shall find Allah Forgiving, Merciful. 110 And whosoever earnoth a sin, only against his own soul he earnoth it; and Allah is ever Knowing, Wise. 111 Whosoever earns a fault or a sin and casts it upon the innocent, indeed, he bears the slander and a clear sin. 112
