Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 They know whatever you do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 to burn therein. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
