The people of Nooh denied the Noble Messengers. 105 when Noah, their brother, said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 106 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 107 so fear Allah and obey me. 108 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 109 So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we place our faith in thee, even though [only] the most abject [of people] follow thee?" 111 He said, "What knowledge do I have of their doings? 112 It is only for my Lord to take account of them. Would that you made use of your understanding! 113 I do not drive away the believers. 114 I am only a clear warner." 115 They said: If you desist not, O Nuh, you shall most certainly be of those stoned to death. 116 He said, "My Lord, indeed my people have denied me. 117 Therefore judge Thou between me and them with a (just) judgment, and deliver me and those who are with me of the believers. 118 Thereafter We rescued him and those who were with him in the laden Ark 119 then afterwards We drowned the rest. 120 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 121 surely your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 122
