'Lord' said Moses, 'expand my chest, 25 And make my mission easy. 26 And loose the knot from my tongue, 27 so that they may understand me. 28 and appoint for me a helper from among my family, 29 Aaron my brother 30 "Increase my strength with him, 31 And let him share my task 32 so that we exalt You 33 "And remember Thee without stint: 34 Lo! Thou art ever Seeing us. 35 [Allah] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses. 36 We have bestowed Our favour on you before this 37 "When We inspired your mother with that which We inspired. 38 "Cast him into the ark, and cast him into the river, and let the river throw him up on the shore. An enemy of Mine and his shall take him." And I loaded on thee love from Me, and to be formed in My sight, 39 [And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses. 40 I have chosen you for My service. 41 So go forth, both you and your brother, with My Signs, and do not slacken in remembering Me. 42 go forth, both of you, unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity! 43 Then speak to him a gentle word haply he may mind or fear. 44 'O our Lord' both said, 'We fear lest he may be excessive against us or become insolent' 45 'Fear not,' said He. 'Surely I shall be with you, hearing and seeing. 46 “Therefore go to him and say, ‘We are the sent ones of your Lord, therefore let the Descendants of Israel go with us, and do not trouble them; we have indeed brought to you a sign from your Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance.’ 47 It is revealed to us that a punishment will fall on those who belie and turn away." 48 He asked: "Who then is that Lord of yours, O Moses?" 49 Moses replied, "Our Lord is He who has given everything its form, then guided it." 50 (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?" 51 Musa said: the knowledge thereof is with my Lord in the Book; my Lord erreth not, nor He forgetteth. 52 It is God who has made the earth as a cradle for you with roads for you to travel. He has sent water from the sky to produce various pairs of plants. 53 To eat and feed your cattle. Surely there are signs in these for those who are wise. 54
