Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
