The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 who determined and guided, 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 However, (the disbelievers) prefer the worldly life 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
