When Moses said to his (assisting) youth: 'I will not give up until I reach the point where the two seas meet even though I should go on for many years' 60 So when they had reached the junction of the two (rivers) they forgot their fish, and it took its way into the sea, going away. 61 And when they had gone further, he said unto his servant: Bring us our breakfast. Verily we have found fatigue in this our journey. 62 Said [the servant]: "Wouldst thou believe it? When we betook ourselves to that rock for a rest, behold, I forgot about the fish - and none but Satan made me thus forget it - and it took its way into the sea! How strange!" 63 He said: This is that which we have been seeking. So they retraced their steps again. 64 Then found they one of Our slaves, unto whom We had given mercy from Us, and had taught him knowledge from Our presence. 65 Musa said to him: Shall I follow you on condition that you should teach me right knowledge of what you have been taught? 66 He said: verily thou wilt not be able to have with me patience; 67 "How can you remain patient with that which you do not fully understand?" 68 He said: If Allah pleases, you will find me patient and I shall not disobey you in any matter. 69 The other said: "If then thou wouldst follow me, ask me no questions about anything until I myself speak to thee concerning it." 70

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
