The Companions of the Rocky Tract also rejected the messengers: 80 We also gave them Our Signs, yet they turned away from them. 81 They would carve secure houses out of the mountains. 82 the blast overtook them early one morning. 83 And all that they had done (for security) availed them nothing. 84 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them except with truth, and the Hour is surely coming, so overlook (O Muhammad SAW), their faults with gracious forgiveness. [This was before the ordainment of Jihad holy fighting in Allah's Cause]. 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator and knows (everything). 86 And indeed, We have bestowed upon you seven of Al-Mathani (the seven repeatedly recited Verses), (i.e. Surat Al-Fatiha) and the Grand Quran. 87 So covet not things We have bestowed on a portion of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and protect those who believe; 88 and say: "Behold, I am indeed the plain warner [promised by God]! 89 (Of just such wrath) as We sent down on those who divided (Scripture into arbitrary parts),- 90 who have broken the Koran into parts, 91 Therefore, by your Lord, We shall question every one of them. 92 for whatever they have done! 93 So shout that thou art commanded and turn thou away from the idolaters. 94 verily, We shall suffice thee against all who [now] deride [this message - all] 95 and believe other things to be equal to God. They will soon know the truth. 96 We certainly know that their statements sorely grieve you. 97 But glorify your Lord with His praise, and prostrate yourself: 98 And serve thy Lord until there come unto thee the Hour that is Certain. 99
