The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Beneficent 1 Hath made known the Qur'an. 2 He hath created man. 3 and has taught him articulate speech. 4 The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed; 5 And the herbs and the trees do prostrate (to Him). 6 He raised the heaven on high and set the scale. 7 In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance. 8 And keep up the balance with equity and do not make the measure deficient. 9 He positioned the earth for all the creatures: 10 Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees, 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 13 He created man of clay like the potter's, 14 whereas the invisible beings He has created out of a confusing flame of fire. 15 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 16 (He is) Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests: 17 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 18 He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 21 There come forth from the twain the pearl and the coral. 22 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 23 His are the ships with elevated sails upon the sea like mountains. 24 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 25
