Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
