Al-A 'araaf 12 of 24

There is not a region to which We sent a prophet and did not inflict upon its people adversity and hardship so that they may submit. 94 Then We changed adversity into ease until they throve and said: 'Our forefathers had also seen both adversity and prosperity.' So We suddenly seized them without their even perceiving it. 95 And if only the people of the cities had believed and feared Allah, We would have opened upon them blessings from the heaven and the earth; but they denied [the messengers], so We seized them for what they were earning." 96 Do the people of the cities feel secure Our might shall not come upon them at night while they are sleeping? 97 Or, are the people of the townships secure that Our wrath would not come upon them by daylight while they are disporting themselves? 98 Then did they feel secure from the plan of Allah? But no one feels secure from the plan of Allah except the losing people. 99
