Man says: "What! When I am dead, shall I then be raised up alive?" 66 But does man not bear in mind that We have created him aforetime out of nothing? 67 And so, by thy Sustainer, [on Judgment Day] We shall most certainly bring them forth together with the satanic forces [which impelled them in life] and then We shall most certainly gather them, on their knees, around hell; 68 from every party We will pluck out whichever of them was the most hardened in disdain of the Most Merciful. 69 Moreover, We well know those who most deserve to be burned in hell. 70 And there is none among you who shall not pass over hell; this is an obligatory affair, binding upon your Lord. (Allah will make everyone pass over the back of hell – on a thin bridge.) 71 Then We shall save those who use to fear Allah and were dutiful to Him. And We shall leave the Zalimun (polytheists and wrongdoers, etc.) therein (humbled) to their knees (in Hell). 72 And when Our manifest revelations are rehearsed unto them, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: which of the two portions is better in station and goodlier in company? 73 How numerous are the peoples We destroyed before them - those that were more resourceful and grander in outward appearance! 74 Say: "Ar-Rahman extends the life of those who are astray until they come to realise what had been promised them was either (physical) affliction or (the terror) of Resurrection. Then will they know who is worse in position, and who is weak in supporters. 75 And God endows those who avail themselves of [His] guidance with an ever-deeper consciousness of the right way; and good deeds, the fruit whereof endures forever, are, in thy Sustainer's sight, of far greater merit [than any worldly goods,] and yield far better returns. 76 So have you seen him who denied Our signs and says, “I shall certainly be given wealth and children?” 77 Has he known the unseen or has he taken a covenant from the Most Beneficent (Allah)? 78 Absolutely not, We will record his words and prolong his punishment. 79 We shall inherit all that he boasts of, and he will come to Us all alone. 80 And they have chosen (other) gods beside Allah that they may be a power for them. 81 No, indeed! They shall deny their service, and they shall be against them pitted. 82
