Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 Lo! this is one of the greatest (portents) 35 it is a warning to man, 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 In Gardens they will question 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 And we used not to feed the poor; 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 till the Certain came to us.' -- 47 The intercession of their intercessors shall not benefit them. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 as if they were startled asses 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
