And assuredly Harun had said unto them afore: O my people! ye are only being tempted thereby; and verily your Lord is the Compassionate; so follow me and obey my command. 90 They said, "We will never cease being devoted to the calf until Moses returns to us." 91 Moses said to Aaron, "What prevented you, when you saw that they had gone astray, 92 That thou followedst me not? Hast thou then disobeyed my order? 93 Answered [Aaron]: "O my mother's son! Seize me not by my beard, nor by my head! Behold, I was afraid lest [on thy return] thou say, 'Thou hast caused a split among the children of Israel, and hast paid no heed to my bidding!" 94 Musa said: what was thy object, O Samiri? 95 He answered: "I have gained insight into something which they were unable to see: and so I took hold of a handful of the Apostle's teachings and cast it away: for thus has my mind prompted me [to act]." 96 Moses said, "Go away! Throughout your life you will not be able to let anyone touch you. This will be your punishment in this life. The time for your final punishment is inevitable. You will never be able to avoid it. Look at your god which you have been worshipping. We will burn it in the fire and scatter its ashes into the sea." 97 But the god of you all is the One Allah: there is no god but He: all things He comprehends in His knowledge. 98 Thus We tell you, (Muhammad), the stories of the past and We have given you the Quran. 99 He who turns away from it will surely bear a heavy burden on the Day of Resurrection, 100 They will abide in that (state in the Fire of Hell), and evil indeed will it be that load for them on the Day of Resurrection; 101 The Day when the Trumpet will be blown (the second blowing): that Day, We shall gather the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, etc.) Zurqa: (blue or blind eyed with black faces). 102 whispering unto one another, "You have spent but ten [days on earth] 103 We know best what they say, when the fairest of them in course would say: You tarried but a day. 104
