The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the angels ranged in ranks. 1 By those (angels) who drive the clouds in a good way. 2 And those who read (the Word) for a reminder, 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – and the Lord of the sun’s rising points. 5 We have indeed decked the lower heaven with beauty (in) the stars,- 6 And to protect it from every rebellious devil. 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 Being driven off, and for them is a perpetual chastisement, 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealing and they are pursued by a flaming fire of piercing brightness. 10 So ask them, are they stronger in constitution, or those whom We have created. We have created them of sticky clay. 11 You marvel (at the wondrous creations of Allah) and they scoff at it, 12 And when they are reminded, they remember not. 13 and when they see a miracle, they mock 14 And say: "This is only magic. 15 "What! when we die, and become dust and bones, shall we (then) be raised up (again) 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say, "You will certainly be brought back to life in disgrace". 18 There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold, 19 And they shall say: O woe to us! this is the day of requital. 20 “This is the Day of Judgement, which you used to deny!” 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
