Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 Till an appointed term, 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
