Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Have you heard about the Overwhelming Event? 1 On that Day, there shall be downcast faces, 2 be toiling and worn-out; 3 Entering into burning fire, 4 that is fueled from a tremendously hot fountain, 5 no food for them except thorny plants 6 Which will neither nourish nor avail against hunger. 7 (Whereas other) faces on that Day will be joyful, 8 Pleased with their striving,- 9 In a Garden on high, 10 Where they hear no idle speech, 11 Therein will be a flowing spring, 12 Therein are thrones raised high, 13 well arranged goblets, 14 And cushions lined up 15 And carpets spread out. 16 What, do they not consider how the camel was created, 17 And at the sky, how it is raised aloft? 18 And at the mountains - how they are erected? 19 And the earth, how it is made a vast expanse? 20 Then remind them! Thou art only a reminder; 21 You are not over them a controller. 22 Save the one who turns away and disbelieves 23 God shall chastise him with the greatest chastisement. 24 Verily, to Us will be their return; 25 In Our hands are their accounts. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
