۞ Furthermore I call to witness the setting of the Stars,- 75 - which is indeed a great oath if only you knew it - 76 That (this) is indeed a noble Qur'an 77 preserved in a hidden Book which 78 which none but the pure [of heart] can touch: 79 A revelation by the Lord of the worlds. 80 Would you say that this statement is a lie? 81 Do you make its denial your means of livelihood? 82 Then how is it that when the (dying) breath is withdrawn into the throat (and rattles), 83 right before your very eyes? 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 why, then, if [you think that] you are not truly dependent [on Us,] 86 why can you not bring it (the soul) back (to life)? 87 (If a dying soul) is of those near to God, 88 Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. 89 If he is a Companion of the Right 90 Then upon you is the greetings of peace (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), from those on the right. 91 And if he be of the beliers, the erring, 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water, 93 And burning in Hell-Fire. 94 This is indeed an utmost certainty. 95 Wherefore hallow thou the name of thy Lord, the Mighty! 96
