Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 who know all that you do: 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
