The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 The curtain drawn back from the skies, 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 And when the Garden is brought nigh, 13 (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 Moving swiftly and hiding themselves, 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed and worthy there of trust. 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 Nor is this [message] the word of any satanic force accursed. 25 Whither then will you go? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 but your wishing will not avail unless Allah, the Lord of the Universe, so wishes. 29
