Did you not see those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah? Where are they being diverted? 69 Those who deny the Book (this Quran), and that with which We sent Our Messengers (i.e. to worship none but Allah Alone sincerely, and to reject all false deities and to confess resurrection after the death for recompense) they will come to know (when they will be cast into the Fire of Hell). 70 when fetters and chains shall be on their necks, and they shall be dragged into 71 into boiling water, then, into the Fire they shall be poured. 72 Then it will be said to them, "Where is that which you used to associate [with Him in worship] 73 They will say, "They have been lost to us; nay, we did not invoke anything before [that had real existence]." Thus God leaves the deniers of the truth to stray; 74 [The angels will say], "That was because you used to exult upon the earth without right and you used to behave insolently. 75 So enter the gates of Hell to abide in it for ever." How evil the abode of the arrogant! 76 Therefore be patient (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), undoubtedly Allah’s promise is true; and whether We show some of what We promise them, or cause you to pass away before it – in any case they will return to Us. 77 We did aforetime send messengers before thee: of them there are some whose story We have related to thee, and some whose story We have not related to thee. It was not (possible) for any messenger to bring a sign except by the leave of Allah: but when the Command of Allah issued, the matter was decided in truth and justice, and there perished, there and then those who stood on Falsehoods. 78
