And verily, the dwellers of Al-Hijr (the rocky tract) denied the Messengers. 80 We sent them Our Signs, but they persisted in turning away from them. 81 And they were hewing out houses from mountains feeling secure. 82 Then the Blast caught them in the morning 83 and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired. 84 We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them save with truth, and lo! the Hour is surely coming. So forgive, (O Muhammad), with a gracious forgiveness. 85 Verify thy Lord! He is the Great Creator, the Knower. 86 AND, INDEED, We have bestowed upon thee seven of the oft repeated [verses,] and [have, thus, laid open before thee] this sublime Qur'an: 87 Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers 88 and say, 'Surely, I am the manifest warner.' 89 such as We send down for those who are divisive, 90 [and] who [now] declare this Qur'an to be [a tissue of] falsehoods! 91 by your Lord, We shall question them all 92 About their deeds. 93 (O Prophet), proclaim what you are commanded, and pay no heed to those who associate others with Allah in His Divinity. 94 We will, surely, suffice you against those who mock, 95 Those who set up another god with Allah; so they shall soon know. 96 Well know We that thy bosom is oppressed by what they say, 97 but extol thou thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise Him, and be of those who prostrate themselves [before Him] in adoration, 98 and worship thy Sustainer till death comes to thee. 99
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
