Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Greed for more and more distracted you [from God] 1 Until you visit the graveyards. 2 Nay! You shall come to know! 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!) 5 that you shall surely see Hell? 6 Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty; 7 On that Day, you shall be questioned about the pleasures. 8
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
