Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The craving for ever-greater worldly gains and to excel others in that regard keeps you occupied 1 Until you come to the graves. 2 Nay! you shall soon know, 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty... 5 For ye will behold hell-fire. 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
