In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not revealed the Quran to you that you may be unsuccessful. 2 but only as an exhortation for him who fears God; 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 the All Merciful settled on the throne. 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, all that lies between them, and lies below the earth. 6 Whether you say a thing aloud or inaudibly, He has knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 God -- there is no god but He. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said unto his folk: Lo! Wait! I see a fire afar off. Peradventure I may bring you a brand therefrom or may find guidance at the fire. 10 Then when he was come thereto, he was cried unto. O Musa! 11 I am your Lord. Take off your shoes, for you are in Towa, the sacred valley. 12 I have chosen you. Therefore, listen to what shall be revealed. 13 Lo! I, even I, am Allah, There is no Allah save Me. So serve Me and establish worship for My remembrance. 14 “The Last Day will surely come – it was close that I hide it from all – in order that every soul may get the reward of its effort.” (He revealed it to His Prophets, so that people may fear and get ready. The exact time is not revealed to the people.) 15 Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. 16 "And what is that in your right hand, O Musa (Moses)?" 17 'Why, it is my staff,' said Moses. 'I lean upon it, and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep; other uses also I find in it. 18 Said He: "Throw it down, O Moses!" 19 So he cast it down; and lo! it was a serpent running. 20 The Lord said, "Hold the serpent and do not be afraid; We will bring it back to its original form." 21 "Now - as another Sign - place your hand under your arm and it will come out sheer white without harm (or stain). 22 That We may go on showing you Our greater signs. 23 "Go thou to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds." 24
