And when the messengers came to the family of Lot, 61 He said: "Ye appear to be uncommon folk." 62 They said, 'Nay, but we have brought thee that concerning which they were doubting. 63 And bring thee the Truth, and lo! we are truth-tellers. 64 So set out with your family during a portion of the night and follow behind them and let not anyone among you look back and continue on to where you are commanded." 65 And We made known this decree to him, that the root of those (sinners) was to be cut off in the early morning. 66 The people of the town rejoicingly 67 He said: Surely these are my guests, therefore do not disgrace me, 68 and fear God, and do not degrade me.' 69 They said, "Have we not forbidden you from [protecting] people?" 70 He said, 'These are my daughters, if you would be doing.' 71 By your life, [O Muhammad], indeed they were, in their intoxication, wandering blindly. 72 So the rumbling overtook them (while) entering upon the time of sunrise; 73 And We turned the city upside down, and rained on them stones of hardened lava. 74 Herein are really signs for those who discern. 75 And indeed that township is upon a road still in use. 76 surely in that is a sign for believers. 77 The dwellers of the Wood (near Midian) were also wicked. 78 On them, too, We took vengeance, and they are both on a clear roadway. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
