Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

YOU ARE OBSESSED by greed for more and more 1 Until you confronted the graves. 2 No! You are going to know. 3 You shall cetainly know (about the consequences of your deeds). 4 Nay, would that you knew with certainty of knowledge (what your attitude will lead to, you would never have acted the way you do). 5 you would indeed, most surely, behold the blazing fire [of hell]! 6 Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then, on that day, you will be questioned about the bounties (of God). 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
