The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
I swear by the angels who violently pull out the souls of the wicked, 1 By the meteors rushing, 2 And who glide with ease. 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 And by those angels who arrange to do the Commands of their Lord, (so verily, you disbelievers will be called to account). 5 On the Day (when the first blowing of the Trumpet is blown), the earth and the mountains will shake violently (and everybody will die), 6 to be followed by further [convulsions], 7 Hearts will pound loudly on that day, 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 “When we have become decayed bones?” 11 They say: that then shall be a losing return. 12 Surely it will need but one shout, 13 And lo! they all shall appear on the surface. 14 Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses? 15 When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go unto Pharaoh - for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of what is right 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 But (the Pharaoh) disavowed and disobeyed. 21 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 then he mustered 23 Saying: "I am your lord, most high", 24 So God seized him with the chastisement of the Last World and the First. 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
