We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 except for God's sincere servants; 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
