No, by the moon! 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 As a warning unto men, 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Except those of the right hand 39 in Gardens they will question 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 we fed not the needy, 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 Nay, but they do not [believe in and hence, do not] fear the life to come. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
