۞ (It will be said to the angels): "Assemble those who did wrong, together with their companions (from the devils) and what they used to worship. 22 "Instead of Allah, and lead them on to the way of flaming Fire (Hell); 23 and detain them there; they will be called to account. 24 "'What is the matter with you that ye help not each other?'" 25 Nay! on that day they shall be submissive. 26 and approach each other with questions, 27 They will say, "You used to come at us from the right." 28 They answer: Nay, but ye (yourselves) were not believers. 29 “And we did not have any control over you; but in fact you yourselves were rebellious.” 30 and so we became deserving of the Word of our Lord that we shall be made to suffer chastisement. 31 So then, [if it be true that] we have caused you to err grievously - behold, we ourselves had been lost in grievous error!" 32 So verily on that Day they all in the torment will be sharers. 33 that is how We deal with evil-doers. 34 For when it was said unto them, There is no Allah save Allah, they were scornful 35 and said: “Shall we forsake our deities for the sake of a distracted poet?” 36 Nay! he (Muhammad SAW) has come with the truth (i.e. Allah's Religion - Islamic Monotheism and this Quran) and he confirms the Messengers (before him who brought Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism). 37 Behold, you will indeed taste grievous suffering [in the life to come,] 38 and be rewarded only according to your deeds." 39 Save the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 40 For them there will be a known provision (in Paradise). 41 Fruits, and they shall be highly honored, 42 in gardens of bliss, 43 seated on couches, facing one another. 44 a goblet from a spring shall be passed round to them 45 white, sparkling (wine), a delight to the drinkers. 46 No headiness there shall be therein, nor shall they be therewith inebriated. 47 And with them will be women limiting [their] glances, with large, [beautiful] eyes, 48 like closely guarded pearls. 49 And they will all turn to one another, asking each other [about their past lives]. 50 A speaker among them will say, "Indeed, I had a companion [on earth] 51 who used to ask, 'Do you really believe that 52 After we are dead and have become all dust and bones shall we still be requited?' 53 (A voice) said: "Would ye like to look down?" 54 So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 But for my Lord's blessing, I were one of the arraigned. 57 Are we then not to die 58 Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?" 59 Surely this is the supreme triumph. 60 and for the like of this let the workers work. 61 Is Paradise a better accommodation or the tree of zaqqum? 62 For We have truly made it (as) a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 (Zaqqum) is a tree which grows from the deepest part of hell, 64 The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of Shayatin (devils); 65 Truly, they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then on top of that they will be given a mixture made of boiling water. 67 then surely they shall return to Hell. 68 They found their fathers erring, 69 and they run in their footsteps. 70 And truly before them, many of the ancients went astray;- 71 although, verily, We had sent warners unto them: 72 and behold, how was the end of them that were warned, 73 Save the bondmen of Allah sincere. 74
