۞ Gather together the evildoers, their wives, and that they were worshipping, 22 Other than God," (the angels will be told), "then show them the way to Hell, 23 and detain them there; they will be called to account. 24 [They will be asked], "What is [wrong] with you? Why do you not help each other?" 25 They will submit to questioning then, 26 And they will turn to one another and question one another. 27 Some [of them] will say: "Behold, you were wont to approach us [deceptively] from the right!" 28 But they reply: 'Rather, you were not believers. 29 “And we did not have any control over you; but in fact you yourselves were rebellious.” 30 So the word of our Lord has come into effect upon us; indeed, we will taste [punishment]. 31 We seduced you astray; verily we were ourselves the seduced ones. 32 So verily on that Day they all in the torment will be sharers. 33 As such We shall deal with the evildoers. 34 for when it was said to them, 'There is no god but God,' they were ever waxing proud, 35 and said: 'Are we to renounce our gods for the sake of a mad poet' 36 Rather, the Prophet has come with the truth and confirmed the [previous] messengers. 37 You shall certainly taste the painful punishment: 38 And be rewarded but only for what you had done, 39 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 40 For them there is a known provision, 41 Fruits; and they will be honoured. 42 In gardens of pleasure, 43 Facing one another on thrones. 44 With cups from a flowing stream being passed around, 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 Neither dulling the senses nor intoxicating, 47 And with them are those of modest gaze, with lovely eyes, 48 (Delicate and pure) as if they were (hidden) eggs (well) preserved. 49 Then they will advance unto each other, mutually questioning. 50 One of them will say: “I had a companion in the world 51 Who said: art thou of those who confess to the doctrine of Resurrection: 52 "(That) when we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed (be raised up) to receive reward or punishment (according to our deeds)?" 53 He said: 'Will you look down?' 54 He will look down and see him in hell. 55 He said, “By Allah, you had nearly ruined me!” 56 But for my Lord's blessing, I were one of the arraigned. 57 Then, are we not to die 58 "Except our first death, and we shall not be punished? (after we have entered Paradise)." 59 This will indeed be great happiness. 60 for the like of this let the workers work.' 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of AzZakkum! 62 For We have truly made it (as) a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 Verily it is a tree that springeth forth in the bottom of Flaming Fire. 64 Its crop is as it were the heads of devils 65 on it they shall feed, and with it they shall fill their bellies. 66 Then most surely they shall have after it to drink of a mixture prepared in boiling water. 67 Then thereafter, verily, their return is to the flaming fire of Hell. 68 They found their fathers erring, 69 So they hastened [to follow] in their footsteps. 70 And indeed before them, most of the former people went astray. 71 And We had already sent among them warners. 72 Then see how was the end of those warned, 73 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 74
