The Ant (Al-Naml)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Seen*; these are verses of the Qur’an and the clear Book. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah, and to whomever he reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 a guidance and a glad tiding to the believers 2 Who fulfil their devotional obligations, pay the zakat, and believe with certainty in the life to come. 3 We make their deeds attractive to those who do not believe in the Hereafter, so that they may wander in perplexity. 4 Such are those for whom there is an evil punishment, and in the Everlasting Life are the greatest losers. 5 Thou receivest the Koran from One All-wise, All-knowing. 6 (Remember) when Moses said to his family: "I see a fire. I shall bring you news from it, or bring an ember that you may warm yourselves." 7 But when Moses came to the fire, a call was sounded: "Blessed is He Who is in the fire and whatever is around it. Glory be to Allah, the Sustainer of all in the Universe. 8 Moses, it is I, Allah, the Almighty, the Wise. 9 Throw down your staff." But when he saw it moving like a snake, he turned and fled. "Moses, do not be afraid! The messengers need have no fear in My presence; 10 except he who has done evil, then, after evil, has changed into good. I am the Forgiving, Most Merciful. 11 "Now put thy hand into thy bosom, and it will come forth white without stain (or harm): (these are) among the nine Signs (thou wilt take) to Pharaoh and his people: for they are a people rebellious in transgression." 12 Then when Our enlightening signs came to them, they said, “This is clear magic.” 13 And they denied them – whereas in their hearts they were certain of them – due to injustice and pride; therefore see what sort of fate befell the mischievous! 14
