Surely the tree of the Zaqqum, 43 shall be the food of the guilty sinners. 44 Like murky oil, it boils within bellies 45 Like the boiling of scalding water. 46 (It will be said of such sinners), "Seize them and drag them into the middle of hell. 47 "Then pour over his head the torment of boiling water, 48 Taste this; you who considered yourself the mighty, the honourable! 49 This is certainly what you had denied." 50 The pious ones will be in a secure place 51 amid gardens and springs, 52 wearing [garments] of silk and brocade, facing one another [in love]. 53 As such, We shall wed them to wide eyed houris (the virgins of Paradise). 54 They call therein for every fruit in safety. 55 They will not taste death therein except the first death, and He will have protected them from the punishment of Hellfire 56 as a bounty from your Lord. That will be the mighty triumph. 57 THUS, THEN, [O Prophet,] have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own [human] tongue, so that men might take it to heart. 58 So be watchful, they too are watching. 59
