Al-Hijjr 2 of 6

AND, INDEED, We have set up in the heavens great constellations, and endowed them with beauty for all to behold; 16 and We have guarded it from every accursed devil: 17 Save him who stealeth the hearing, and him there followeth a flame gleaming. 18 And the earth-- We have spread it forth and made in it firm mountains and caused to grow in it of every suitable thing. 19 to provide you and those for whose sustenance you are not responsible, with the necessities of life. 20 And there is not a thing the treasure* of which is not with Us; and We do not send it down except by a known measure. (* The power to create it.) 21 And We send the fecundating winds, then cause the rain to descend from the sky, therewith providing you with water (in abundance), though ye are not the guardians of its stores. 22 And surely, it is We who give life and make to die. We are the Inheritor. 23 We know the people who lived before you and those who will come into existence after you. 24 Indeed your Lord will gather them all together. Surely He is All-Wise, All-Knowing. 25
