And certainly We delivered the children of Israel from the abasing chastisement, 30 from Pharaoh; surely he was a high One, of the prodigals; 31 We gave preference to the Israelites over the other people with Our knowledge 32 and showed them signs in which there was a clear test. 33 Yet those who deny the truth say, 34 “This is our first and only death, and we shall never be raised again. 35 Bring then our fathers if ye say so. 36 Are these better or the people of Tubba and those who went before them? We destroyed them for they were a criminal people. 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, out of play. 38 We created them not save with truth; but most of them know not. 39 Indeed, the Day of Judgement is the appointed time for them all - 40 The day when friend will help no friend in the least, nor will they be helped, 41 except those to whom Allah shows mercy. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Compassionate. 42
