The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 when the ten-months pregnant camels shall be abandoned, 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 and when all human beings are coupled [with their deeds,] 7 when the buried infant shall be asked 8 for what sin she was slain, 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped off and taken away from its place; 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 So, I call the receding stars to witness, 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 And the close of night, 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 it is indeed the word of an Honorable Messenger, 19 The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 And he is of the unseen not a tenacious concealer. 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 where then are you going? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29
God the Almighty always says the truth.
