The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I swear by (the angels) who stand in ranks, 1 Then those who drive away with reproof, 2 and those who recite the Remembrance 3 Verily your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah). 5 Verily We! We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment: the stars. 6 And (there is) a safeguard against every rebellious Shaitan. 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 They are rejected and theirs is an everlasting punishment; 9 Some of them who stealthily steal words from the heavens are pursued by a glistening flame. 10 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Are they stronger in constitution, or those We created? We created them of clinging clay. 11 (Muhammad), you will be surprised that they still mock (God's revelations). 12 and, when reminded, do not remember 13 And when they see an Ayah (a sign, a proof, or an evidence) from Allah, they mock at it. 14 And they say: This is nothing but clear magic: 15 Why - after we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 16 And our forefathers [as well]?" 17 Say, "Yes indeed, and you will be brought low." 18 There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold, 19 They will then say: “Woe for us. This is the Day of Judgement.” 20 [And they will be told:] "This is the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false - the Day] which you were wont to call a lie!" 21
