The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers 1 those who are humble in their prayer; 2 who avoid impious talks, 3 Who strive for betterment; 4 those who safeguard their chastity 5 except with their wives, and what their right hands possess -- for then they are free from blame, 6 (but whosoever seeks after more than that, those are the transgressors) 7 and who preserve their trusts and their covenant 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 These are indeed the inheritors. 10 These are the heirs of Paradise wherein they will live forever. 11 We created man from an essence of clay, 12 Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge) (and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman). 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 Then after that, certainly all of you are to die. 15 and you will be brought back to life again on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And assuredly We created above you seven paths, and of the creation We have not been neglectful. 17 And We sent down water from the sky in proper measure, then stored it in the earth; and indeed We are Able to take it away! 18 With it, We produced for you gardens of palms and vines, yielding abundant fruit for you to eat. 19 Also a tree springing out of Mount Sinai, which produces oil, and relish for those who use it for food. 20 And behold, in the cattle [too] there is indeed a lesson for you: We give you to drink of that [milk] which is within their bellies; and you derive many [other] uses from them: for, you eat of their flesh, 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
