AND, INDEED, We have set up in the heavens great constellations, and endowed them with beauty for all to behold; 16 and We have guarded it from every accursed devil: 17 excepting such as listens by stealth -- and he is pursued by a manifest flame. 18 And the earth -- We stretched it forth, and cast on it firm mountains, and We caused to grow therein of every thing justly weighed, 19 And We have provided therein means of living, for you and for those whom you provide not [moving (living) creatures, cattle, beasts, and other animals]. 20 And there is not of aught but with Us are the treasures thereof, and We send it not down save in a measure known 21 We send rain-impregnated winds, and water from the sky which you drink, but you are not the keepers of its store. 22 And indeed it is We Who give life and it is We Who cause death, and We are the Inheritors. 23 Surely We know those of you who have passed before and those who will come later. 24 And surely your Lord will gather them together; surely He is Wise, Knowing. 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
